Just when I think I’ve heard it all, some nitwit comes up with something that even I could never have imagined! All too often, the nitwit of the moment is either a politician, or a judge. Many times their actions are aggravating, even infuriating, but every once in a while, they come out with something that is downright sick!

Take the case of a man living in Bayonne, New Jersey, who was accused of raping his nineteen year old estranged wife.

According to news reports, the couple, both from Morocco, wed in an arranged marriage in 2008, when the bride was seventeen years old. After the marriage, they moved to New Jersey, where the wife reported that she endured physical abuse (in the form of beatings, being pinched on her breasts and genitals hard enough to leave bruises, and being denied food), along with marital rape on almost a daily basis, as “punishment” for a written list of sins her husband gave her, that included not knowing how to cook, and not cleaning house to his satisfaction.

The wife, who was unidentified in court documents to protect her identity, filed for divorce, and sought a restraining  order against him.

When his day in court came, this slime ball’s defense was that, as a Muslim, his religion gave him the right to sex on demand and complete control of his wife. And the idiot presiding over the trial agreed with him! Apparently, it wasn’t rape, it was just religious expression. How sick is that?

Judge Joseph Charles denied the woman’s request for the restraining order after her divorce, agreeing that evidence showed the defendant had assaulted her, but he still issued a ruling that the husband was acting under his religious belief that his desire to have sex with the woman whenever he wanted to was something that was consistent with his religion, and it therefore was not prohibited.

Have we sunken so low in this country, in our eternal quest to kiss the entire world’s butt, that we now condone rape just so we don’t offend the wackos of the world? Here’s an idea – how about we send that judge to prison and make him share a cell with a pervert who believes that his religion allows him to rape complete airheads? Doesn’t that seem fair to you?

Fortunately, an appeals court overruled the original judge’s decision, but it should scare the hell out of every one of us, male or female, to know that people like that are presiding over courtrooms nationwide, issuing rulings that can affect any one of us at any time.

14 Comments on It’s Not Rape, It’s Religion

  1. Jerry Ray says:

Lets just hope he doesn’t get nominated for the supreme court!!! It would be just like the “nominator” to do that.

  2. Mike Frisch says:

Sick bastard out to be castrated with a rusty hacksaw blade. And the husband too!

  3. Allan says:

I am all for religious freedom and the government keeping away from churches business but this was not a relgious issue but a obvious spouse abuse. She should be able to leave this man and be able to have a restraining order against him. People that want to practice barbaric acts in the cloak of islam need to do it in another country. It should not be tolerated in the USA

  4. Marilyn says:

So SAD to think we live in the USA and this happen here. This country is trying so hard to help women in third world countries and then to have this happen here. OMG where are we headed?

  5. Gary says:

One should not just blame the Judges. As in most cases, voters put Judges in this position. It is obvious that if in fact this judge was elected or just appointed somebody does not care enough or they didn’t do there homework as to what kind of sick IDIOT they have placed in office.

  6. Connie Braidh says:

Rape and sadistic behavior are just that. Even when people are married, forced sex and sexual abuse and beatings are wrong. As everyone is saying, What is wrong with this judge? Does he believe that women get raped because they are asking for it? Sure hope the people of his county/district get rid of him. His thinking is outdated. What will happen next is that this husband will likely keep on attacking her and eventually kill her (even though they are divorced). What will the judge say then? “Oh, that’s too bad.” Her life is in danger as Muslims believe women who have not followed orders can be killed with impunity. She needs our (the US) help and the judge obviously failed to help her. She is in my prayers. She is going to need them.

  7. Deb says:

I thought rape and assault were against the law. Criminal and human rights laws on the books should always trump religious law, practices, beliefs or anything else people want to call them. Otherwise we will have rampant crime and other abuses in the name of “religion”…and anybody these days can make up a “religion” or a “church” with any wacko belief system. That idiot judge needs to step down.
And Jerry Ray do you hate our President that much that you really think he’d do that? C’mon.

  8. Chris says:

I it’s against the law, it’s against the law! religion my foot.
That’s taking it past the extreme. The judge needs to be ousted!

  9. Linda says:

All the ass-kissing in the world isn’t going to make the Muslim Fundamentalists like us. They want to rule us or kill us, whichever is easier for them. Judges like the one in this story aren’t fit to be called judges.

  10. Pat and Jim says:

And what’s worse, Joseph Charles was reappointed by Gov. Christie in May, and now has lifetime tenure.
Its not just the judge, the gov. is in on it as well by supporting this individual.

  11. MargieAnne says:

    Shocked but not surprised.

We’ve come a long way since the inquisition but modern mankind is just as evil and wicked and corrupt as ever.

I hope the lady no longer resides in New Jersey. Doesn’t sound like a very safe place for her.

The only way for things to change is for good people to keep raising their voices.

    Bad Nick is doing good.

  12. Kenneth says:

This would not happen if we would work together instead of demonizing anyone who does not share our views.
We are hard left or hard right instead of expecting responsibility from our leaders.
You can blame the Gov or the judge but it is our fault.

  13. Jenny Roules says:

So why isn’t the National Orgainization for Women climbing all over this travesty? Sick, sick, sick!

  14. Tom S. says:

So in America, freedom of religion means that you CANNOT have a nativity scene, you CANNOT pray in public schools or in public places, but it is OK to break multiple laws by beating and raping your wife in the name of religion.

Effectively, Christianity has been outlawed and Islam is now a state sanctioned religion. You cannot pray for people in the name of Jesus, but you can beat and rape them in the name of Mohammed. This is a true fact in America today.
